At Stellar Holdings, we believe that true sustainability transcends narrow solutions. We believe that every project must meet the “triple bottom line”: economic, social, and environmental. With every project we develop or invest in we carefully consider how it will affect surrounding residents and businesses, the greater urban fabric, and the environment.
Consider our portfolio of success. Seattle’s Thornton Place will not only be one of the first LEED-certified Neighborhood Developments in the country, it will also contribute to the vitalization of the greater Northgate community by adding new retail, market rate condominiums, the Thornton Creek Water Quality Channel, senior housing and affordable housing.
In Sweden, we’ve pushed the envelope even further. We’re developing energy efficient rental apartments in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö that are affordable while adding to the high design standards set forth by the communities and cities. In addition, our Bygg Vesta team has developed a “passive” heated building in Malmö designed in such a way that the technology can be transferred to other countries. For us, sustainability is not a goal to be achieved, but a mindset that pushes us to constantly improve and evolve. It’s about bettering our communities with bright ideas.
